Being towed back to owner. Bodywork finished - owner is going to renovate the interior and then we will post a photo of the completed project.
Austin Healey during renovation
The Austin Healey has now been collected by the owner who will use it until the spring when she returns to us for a respray. She now has a very proud, happy owner. Thanks Ben for letting me work on your pride and joy. Austin Healey - check it out - THIS IS WHAT THE OWNER HAD TO SAY :
Dear Glen and Diane,
Many thanks for this. I have forwarded it to the Accounts Office and asked
them to make a direct transfer to your account asap.
I can't thank you enough for all your care, patience and expert attention
in bringing the old Healey back to life and dealing with all the horrors that
you found hidden away from sight. I keep finding excuses to take the old girl
(that's the car, not the wife) out for a spin - and I have to tell you that she
is running smoother and sweeter than I have ever known. There was a moment
yesterday when the sun came out and the sky was blue, with the Norfolk lanes
spinning past, the bonnet stretched out in front of me and the engine responding
to every touch of the throttle... Pure joy.
I will try to keep her up to the standard you have brought her up to, and
will be in touch again in the New Year about Phase Two of the great
restoration!
With many thanks again,
Best wishes,
Ben

Sadly, due to the owners change in circumstances, this lovely year had to be put back into storage.
